Inhale deeply through your mouth — fill your belly first, then your chest. Take in as much air as you possibly can.

Exhale through your mouth — let it all go. Don't hold at the top. Just release.

Keep it continuous — no pausing between breaths. As soon as you finish exhaling, inhale again.

Breathe from your diaphragm — deep belly breathing. Your stomach should rise and fall, not just your chest.
All five journeys involve some degree of self-compassion as a by-product. This one has it as a direct intention. The Self Love & Forgiveness journey works specifically with the inner critic, carried shame, and the relationship you have with yourself.
This is also the shortest journey — intentionally so. Shona found that opening the heart in this specific way requires a concentrated container, not a long one. There is nothing that needs to be "pushed through" here. What's needed is permission. This session gives it.
A 66-minute breathwork journey structured around three movements: receiving (opening to what you deserve), releasing (letting go of what you've been punishing yourself for), and returning (coming home to yourself). Shona's voice is at its most tender in this session. The breathwork pattern is gentler than in Trauma Release or The Awakening — this is an opening, not a clearing.
This session is quieter than the others. The breath is deep but not as intense. What tends to happen instead is a profound emotional opening — grief for the version of you that has been so hard on herself, tenderness, and often a feeling of "coming home." Many people report that this session is the one they return to most regularly. It doesn't deplete — it restores.
After the session: Be gentle with yourself. You may want to call someone you love. You may want silence. Both are perfect.
